Scientific Achievement and Leadership Awards

The Society's scientific achievement and leadership awards program is designed to foster and recognize research excellence, leadership, and outstanding technical achievement in HEOR. These awards include:

 

The ISPOR Avedis Donabedian Outcomes Research Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual's outstanding, life-long achievement in the area of improving health outcomes.

 

The Marilyn Dix Smith Leadership Award recognizes an individual who has shown consistent, broad, and meaningful direction to the Society in a leadership role.

 

The Bernie O'Brien New Investigator Award is given to an individual who has shown evidence of exceptional promise based on their emerging body of technical and scholarly work in the field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).

 

The LMIC Health Economics and Outcomes Research Excellence Award recognizes individuals in LMICs with demonstrated outstanding HEOR achievements.

 

The HEOR Excellence Award—Methodology was established in 1997 to recognize outstanding research in the field of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) methodology.

 

The HEOR Excellence Award—Application was established in 1997 to recognize outstanding practical application of health economics and outcomes research in healthcare decision making.
